Fundraising

Main Street Skowhegan is raising funds for the Skowhegan River Park (Run of River) via grants, private donors, and foundations. Since 2016, we've raised nearly $8 million to cover the cost of environmental permitting, updated preliminary designs, final construction design, pre-construction services, and construction. Due to rising costs associated with three years of federal permitting delays, Main Street Skowhegan is actively engaging potential donors to raise additional funds for Phase 1 construction of the Northeast's first adjustable river surf and kayak wave.
