For more than 27 years, Skowhegan residents have envisioned a riverfront that reconnects our community to the Kennebec River. Today, that vision is becoming reality through the Skowhegan River Park—a transformational project that will expand river access, create new public gathering spaces, enhance outdoor recreation opportunities, and strengthen Skowhegan and the region.

We are deeply grateful to the businesses, foundations, public partners, and individual donors whose generosity, partnership, and belief in this vision are helping bring the River Park to life. Their investments are supporting major improvements along Skowhegan's riverfront, including the New Balance Foundation Boardwalk, expanded public access to the Kennebec River, trails, gathering spaces, outdoor programming, and the Northeast's first adjustable surf and kayak wave.
