Main Street Skowhegan Board Commits $200K Match for EDA Grant

The Main Street Skowhegan Board of Directors voted unanimously on January 24, 2022 to allocate $201,240 to the Skowhegan River Park/Run of River Project. Motions and votes are included below:

“Motion was made by Brandi Meisner and seconded by Lisa Landry to allocate $201,240 to be combined with the Town of Skowhegan’s $1,021,161 to match the municipality’s Economic Development Administration Travel. Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation Grant request of $4,889,600, for a total river park construction budget of $6,112,000.”

With this match and the $1 million match from the Town’s Run of River Reserve Account, we will have met the required match in order to apply for the EDA grant to fund construction.
